Laser Cusing

With SLM (SLM = selective laser melting) highly complex, three-dimensional geometries can be manufactured efficiently and fully automated without tools and labour-intensive programming for machines. The only things needed for production are the 3D-data of the part. These data get sliced into layers by specific software. The machine then creates the part by melting and connecting metal in powder form layer by layer with a laser beam. This micro-welding process  allows building different parts in one job. Selective laser melting can be applied in each phase of production, from prototype to spare part or serial production, everything is possible.
Basically every weldable material can be processed with this procedure. The materials used the most are Titanium (Ti6AlV4), stainless steel (1.4404) and aluminium (AlSi12). For a complete stock list please contact us.

Most of the instruments and implants in this area are made from solid material and produced machining. In metal-sintering we see a sinful alternative to the conventional production which means that this procedure needs to be applied to the medical sector and we accepted this challenge.
